Անցյալում am, is, are- օժանդակ բայերը դառնում են was, were

You were- դու էիր, դուք էիք
He, she, it was- նա էր They were-նրանք էին
Նախադասությունները հարցական դարձնելիս օժանդակ բայերը ՝ am, is, are, was, were բերում ենք առաջ, իսկ ժխտականի դեպքում օժանդակ բայերին՝ am, is, are, was, were ավելացնում ենք -not-մասնիկը, օրինակ՝
- I am 10. Am I 10?. I am not 10.
- You are my sister. Are you my sister? You are not my sister.
- It is a flower. Is it a flower? It is not/isn’t a flower.
- I was at home. Was I at home? I was not at home.
- We were doctors. Were we doctors? We were not/weren’t doctors.
